I've been bursting at the seams to share with you the benefits of cleansing and healing your chakras to help you live a happier and healthier life!
So first things first, let me give you a really simple explanation on chakras. Our body (and every living thing for that matter) is made up of energy and chakras are energy centres which look after different aspects of our body, physically and energetically.
There are 7 main chakras which energy flows through which I've listed from bottom to top including their main functions below:
If there are energy blockages in one or more of the chakras then, over time, this blocked energy can impact the physical body. For instance signs of a blocked heart chakra from experiencing let's say a relationship breakup, can cause physical symptoms in your body such as tightness in the chest or shortness of breath. If you are not able to speak your truth, or speak up to someone in a situation, you can develop physical symptoms such as a sore throat which is caused by a blockage in the throat chakra.
If our chakras are blocked for a long period of time this can lead to further negative reactions, symptoms or developments in the body. As you know I'm a big believer in looking after the wellness of our mind, body and spirit and educating on the benefit of balancing these. I believe my mum's breast cancer was impacted by having a blocked heart chakra for many years. Mum's cancer was on her left breast and I believe her heart chakra was a factor in causing the cancer due to a challenging and emotionally draining marriage.
So how do you know if you have a blockage in one or more of your chakras? It's important to trust your body and tune in often to see how you feel. Have you been experiencing any discomfort in your body such as (but not limited to) digestive problems, headaches, sickness or a sore throat? Then consider whether this could be due to one or more of your chakras being blocked. I'm not a doctor so cannot say that the physical symptom/s you are experiencing is caused by a blockage of a chakra, however if you have gone through a hard situation or difficult emotional experience and you don't release or let go of the emotions, attachments or fears related to them, they commonly do appear in a physical way (this could be even just the way you are feeling or how you handle certain situations).
Our attitude, intentions, thoughts, ideas, feelings and emotions also have repercussions on our chakras, both positive and negative. In deepening our self-awareness and improving our overall attitude we affect the quality of our chakras energy. Similarly, if we can tap into our chakras and identify the quality of the energy of each, it helps us to increase our self-knowledge and to identify if we need to cleanse or clear any of them.
There are many ways you can work on clearing and cleansing your chakras, in my personal experience I've used a mixture of kinesiology, spiritual healing, yoga as well as meditation.
